This totem pole is located on Fonteinstraat in the Wijnendalebos. She is the work of Carving Koen.
His passion for cutting with a chainsaw began during one of his trips to the French Alps. On a visit to the tourist office in Chamonix, he saw a chair cut from a tree trunk, in 1 piece... "I can do that too", he thought, and when he got home he was given a tree trunk, a chainsaw. in hand and made his first piece.
He placed second in the Belgian Chainsaw Sculpture Championship in 2019.
