They discovered names of individuals involved in the Mendez case and that of Patrick Haemers. But no further evidence. According to experts, the 7.65 mm bullet that was shot into the victim's neck came from one of the two stolen service pistols of the gendarmes that were attacked on September 17, 1983, at the parking lot of the Colruyt in Nijvel. This links the murder to the Bende van Nijvel.
