The Sint-Jozefskerk is the church of the Bredene-Sas parish in Bredene, located on the Dokter Michel Vanden Wegheplein.
In 1758 , a chapel was established by the Compagnie der Zaegmolens. This was an auxiliary church of the Sint-Rikiers parish. In 1842 the parish Molendorp was founded. In 1874 a neo-Gothic church building was erected in Sas-Zuid. This was replaced in 1953 by a more centrally located church in Sas-Noord, where a new neighborhood was built. The old church was demolished in 1954.
The new church was executed in brick after a design by Jozef Lantsoght. The design, with the large square tower above the choir and extension to the choir, is somewhat reminiscent of the Christocentric churches as they were built in the Netherlands in the 1930s. Neo-Romanesque influences are also present.
