Description

You will find the Blue Accelerator about 500 meters off the coast of Ostend . This innovation and development platform is an initiative of the Province of West Flanders to support the blue energy sector.

It is a container placed on a pole. That pile is very deep in the seabed and a container has been placed on it that is provided as a lab.

The lab is open to all companies , knowledge institutions, SMEs, industry that want to test innovations or new technologies in the open sea.

Above the water you can use the airspace. On the water you can use the energy contained in the waves. Under the water you have direct access to the seabed.
