The Seminary of Tournai is the training institute for priests in the diocese of Tournai . Since 1808, it has been housed in the buildings of the former Jesuit College on Rue des Jésuites. The imposing Episcopal Seminary, located in old Tournai, has known many destinations since its foundation by the Jesuits in 1595 .
What is known as the 'seminary' is now home to various institutions and services of the Diocese of Tournai.
The group of buildings forms an expansive horseshoe, the opening of which includes a terraced garden . This overlooks a much larger garden below, traversed by the old city wall (11th-13th centuries).
