Cow-vert Kiewit

Koe-vert is a tavern located in the beautiful natural domain of Kiewit, the green lung of Hasselt.

Koe-vert offers self-service dishes and drinks that focus on organic, local, and fair trade products.

On our drink menu, we provide a wide range of organic and fair trade products, our own pressed Wroeter apple juice, and well-known soft drinks. Our beer menu also has something for everyone: from (organic) regional beers to refreshing classics. The wines we serve come from Oxfam's fair trade selection. And we continue to update our menu.
For those with a small hunger or thirst, we have an Oxfam vending machine at the entrance.

Our vegetables, delicious bread, pastries, (spelt) flour, eggs,... from the non-profit De Wroeter form the basis for our prepared dishes. Local products play an important role in our kitchen.
With a limited menu, Koe-vert still tries to offer something delicious for every visitor. You can visit us every day for fresh daily soups, pastas (also gluten-free), croques, meal salads, savory and sweet pancakes, sandwiches, …

Dessert lovers also have plenty of choices: scoop ice cream to melt away (thanks to our colleagues from De Winning), a tasty piece of Limburg vlaai, or something small and sweet to nibble on like our Wroeter cookies.

All this in the beautiful surroundings of the children’s farm & Domain Kiewit and within walking and biking distance from Bokrijk.
