Due to its scenic value, Chaleux is located on various walking routes , including the Great Route Path GR126 and GR17 . It is also a popular stopping point for kayakers who sail down the Lesse in large numbers in the summer due to the presence of a pebble beach.
In the 1980s and 1990s, there was a spacious terrace next to the Lesse, where drinks and chips were sold during the tourist season, which was an additional attraction.
