The PalingsHuis opened in 1870 and is the oldest restaurant in Temse and likely well beyond. Since 1973, the establishment has been run by Remi and Annemie Van Grasdorff-Goossens. Son Coert Van Grasdorff has been leading the restaurant for several years and is the specialist chef for our delicious mussels. An expert jury, commissioned by the Gazet van Antwerpen, searched for the best mussels in the Waasland-Mechelen region and unanimously chose Het Palingshuis in Temse as the best mussel restaurant of 2019-2020.
