In the center of Meyerode, there is a war memorial near the church in honor of the heroes and victims of Meyerode who lost their lives during World War I 1914-1918 and World War II 1940-1945. The names of the soldiers who fell in battle along with their dates of birth and death are inscribed on the pillar. A stone tablet bears the following inscription: “In everlasting love for the war victims of Meyerode 1914-1918 and 1940-1945”.
