The Croix des Louveteaux was founded by the Scouts. The wolf cubs (Cub Scouts) are the members aged 8 to 12. It was renewed in the early 2020s.
It is no coincidence that this cross is located along walk 13 'Promenade du loup' (wolf walk).
In Scouts and Guides, placing a cross is a tradition that is often associated with remembering deceased members. This cross can be placed, for example, when a member dies or during special commemorative moments , such as All Souls' Day or All Saints' Day. It is a way to show respect and keep the memory of the deceased alive within the group.
The symbol of the cross may vary, but the intention is always one of honor and unity.
