Along the Promenade d'Orléans , four small rustic bridges span the Sauvenière River. The bridges are named after a painter .
The second bridge, at the foot of the rocky outcrop where the Orléans monument stands, is dedicated to Gérard-Antoine Crehay (1844-1937). This painter from Spadois painted more than two thousand paintings . He used to say: "If I stop painting, I stop living".
