The artwork Ooghoogte is located at 95mTAW, the highest point of Neerijse, next to the border with Leefdaal, near the intersection of Langestraat/Neerijsebaan and Brede Weg. The Brede Weg is also an important part of the cycling highway F29 between Tervuren and Leuven. The bike path from Donkerstraat Neerijse runs alongside it. Ooghoogte is situated next to cycling junction 3 and walking junction 508.

This location on the plateau offers a view of a vast open arable landscape in the IJse, Voer, and Dijle valleys. We see various scattered thickets and across the Dijle valley, the Meerdaal forest. Three elements, 13.5 m long and 3.5 m high, made from recycled concrete, have the color of fertile clay soils. The rounded shapes are inspired by the hollow roads and the trees that grow towards the middle on the slope of a hollow road. Within these elements, one can read a short poem about this unique ancient landscape of fields and forests formed on the fertile soils of the Brabant clay region.

This unique artwork is the culmination of a participation process that started in 2022 and was inaugurated on September 8, 2024. It is a realization of "Art commissioned in public space," a program of the Flemish government, in collaboration with the province of Flemish Brabant, the municipalities of Huldenberg and Bertem, and various organizations.
