Officers' Domain

In the Domaine des Officiers, you will find the famous chalet of Sven de Leijer, Jan Peumans, and their well-known guests from the VRT 1 program Vrede op aarde.

In the place where the highest officers of the Ardennes Hunters Regiment used to stay, you now find a domain with 24 bedrooms, a professional kitchen, a sauna, a jacuzzi, and a tennis court. This place is transformed into “the chalet” of Vrede op aarde where Limburg politician and “soft anarchist” Jan Peumans and eight famous Flemings gather.

Fifty people can sleep in that Domaine des Officiers. For the recordings of Vrede op aarde, all the beds are occupied: nine for jury chairman Peumans and his famous guests, the rest for Sven de Leijer and his team. The recordings last three days, are edited into 14 pieces, and are fitted into the program that is mostly recorded in a TV studio.
