The well-known and important Ardennes river, the Ourthe, is formed by the confluence of the Western and Eastern Ourthe. This confluence is dammed and thus forms the Nisramont reservoir. The Western Ourthe springs near Libramont, flows in a northeastern direction towards Amberloup and further to Lavacherie, where it truly penetrates the large forests between Saint-Hubert and La Roche-en-Ardenne.
