In the Royal Museum of Art and History, there is a statue from Easter Island on display. This statue was brought by Henri Lavachery in 1935 with the Mercator ship, which is now in Ostend. It is said to represent the god of the tuna fishermen, Pou-Hakakonga. It is made of the volcanic rock andesite. The statue weighs more than a ton, even though it is only 1.5 meters wide and 2.75 meters tall. Thus, it is one of the smaller versions of the statues that can be seen on the Easter Islands.
