Beautiful walk entirely in the immense Bois d'Heverlée (near Leuven). Once continuous with the Meerdael Forest, this wooded area dates from the last ice age.
Walk without any road or traffic (except sometimes one or the other bike). On the route, an arboretum, wooded paths, paths, discreet paths, undergrowth and clearings, a burial site of more than 3000 years (two tumuli), and especially several works of the sculptor Ad Wouters. The sculptures were made from the dead trunks of oaks.
