Description by the author

The church of Saint-André de Gérouville began its religious life in 1258, as a chapel. It has been adapted and expanded in several stages. The tower dates from after 1861. It houses a bell from 1680. The clock from 1768 now shines on the tower of the Musée du Pays de Gaume in Virton. In the village square sits the hollow stump of an elm, in which, on a round bench, eight people can sit – even very thin people.

DISTANCE
About 9 km.

TYPE OF ROAD
In the middle – from the cross of Jean de Paris to the Ferme de la Barrière – you follow forest paths and sandy countryside. The other stages are mostly paved roads and occasionally with base surface. Sometimes you have to go up and down steeply, but never to break the blow. Comfortable shoes are sufficient, provided they are waterproof in and immediately after rainy weather. The route is inaccessible to strollers and wheelchairs due to slopes and dirt road conditions.

MARKUP
Nothingness. A few signposts or street signposts can help.

PARKING
The square in front of the façade of the very picturesque church of Saint-André de Gérouville offers plenty of parking spaces.
