At the creation of the beautiful Aulne abbey, the monks chose this place for its peace and quiet. The walk starts at the entrance of the abbey and allows you to admire the ‘Vallée de la Paix’ in all its diversity. You walk past the ruins and beyond the former main entrance. Just before you enter the forest, you have a view of the beautiful colonnade in blue limestone of the abbey farm. The path also takes you along the fields and the fish ponds, from where the entire abbey was supplied with water via an underground hydraulic system. To end your day, you can find refreshments in the many establishments, enjoy mini-golf close to the abbey, or take a boat trip.
