Les Avins – The Romantic Condroz

This walk takes you past secret castles, characterful villages, and a bucolic river: the countryside of the Condroz radiates serenity. In Les Avins, time passes slowly... The route penetrates the heart of the Condroz, via a beautiful road along the Hoyoux, where you will find traces of the old exploitation. Here and there, you can still see old river sections and rusty locks. In Tibiémont, the hamlet is surrounded by the river that you cross. A beautiful road with sharp bends leads you to vast fields. There, you await the RAVeL which you follow to Havelange. After a kilometer, the route leaves the RAVeL and moves through a forest of deciduous trees. The path meanders through the meadows. It is a dream of a rural scene with also the beautiful site of the Castle of Le Hoyoux. The return journey passes through stunning villages that bask in bucolic valleys.
