Walk 4

Depart from the pilgrimage site of Our Lady of Banneux. Cross the Avenue Paola and walk behind the church into the village of Banneux. Then descend via the Route des Légendes to Doyard. You are now walking between the fields until you reach the National road N62. At the place called Coirfalise, the ruins of the Gatte d'Or are still visible at the top left. Turn towards the village of Stinval and walk up through Louveigné, where you will successively encounter the Saint-Remacle church, the monument of Judge Hanson (in the building of the peace court), and the lime tree in the village center (where justice used to be administered). Return to Banneux along the Rue des Fawes. Along the way, you will see the chapel of Blessed Charles the Good and the castle of Les Fawes. Return via the Rue de l’Esplanade to the tourist office to admire the clock of the Atlas V, a tugboat that allowed more than a hundred people to escape from the German-occupied Liège during World War I.
