Around Fraipont

The walk starts in the center of the village where you can admire the St. Gillis Church (with information board). Those who wish can also visit the museum “Les Amis des Ancêtres et Impéria” with its collection of old carriages. Back in the center, stairs (GR 5) lead to the Croix Saint Jean (panorama). The walk goes through a forested area (with ponds and forest huts) and then descends to the ford of Bécoën, which was already known in Roman times (information board). A little further, the path leads to the nature reserve of Goffontaine (wetland). Here you have two options: the large loop of the Vesder or the small loop (ponds of Nawinfosse), both of which lead to Halinsart and eventually end at the station of Nessonvaux (view of the old Imperia factory). Here you can choose to stroll along the main road to see the listed facade and the test track of Imperia. The route runs through Nessonvaux and along the branches of the Vesder and ends via the Drève Patureau (information board).
