This short walk starts at the church of Sainte-Colombe in Soulme and crosses a forest area south of the village. On the gable of the old farmhouse at the corner of rue Désiré Mathieu and the road that descends to the Hamoi mill, there is still a signpost dating from the German occupation during World War II. The walk runs right next to the old extraction site of the Falize quarry, which made it possible for the village to be built. The chalk grasslands also housed meadows for goats and sheep. The village, crowned as Plus Beau Village de Wallonie, has retained its traditional architecture and thus its charm. The Romanesque church of Sainte-Colombe was built in the 11th century from limestone rubble and is enclosed by the walls of the cemetery, lined with beautiful large chestnut trees.
