The nature trail Kelchterhoef consists of 3 loops that all start near the Abbey Farm. With loops of 6, 9, and 15 kilometers, both novice and more experienced runners can enjoy themselves.
The different routes offer a beautiful variety of old forests, open spaces, and cultural-historical elements. For instance, you will run through the more than 200-year-old Chestnut Avenue, which once provided the connection between Houthalen and the abbey.
On the 9 and 15 km routes, you will also run near the Plas, a swimming pond of 20 hectares that provides refreshment during the summer months. The variety of landscapes and the changes in scenery ensure a unique running experience.
