Small-scale nature reigns supreme on and around Kesterheide. This "mountain" was sculpted by generations of inhabitants, who also understood that it was nice to be here. At 112 meters, it towers above the Pajottenland. It is a beacon and landmark of the rolling landscape. From the IJzeren Man you'll have a beautiful view of Brussels and the parish churches of some of the surrounding villages such as Leerbeek, Kester and further on Heikruis. To the north lies Lombergveld with the Lomberg forest. You'll be able to walk along the educational center Paddenbroek, a beautiful location where you find fruit trees, hedges and many landscape elements.
