See photos of this walk

We did this beautiful cross-border walk on 22-07-2023. It is well marked on one side.

The French site tells www.pnva.be the following about it (we have nothing to add to this but have fun with this walk,
Eddy, Rita, and Prinske):

Cross-border walk Camille Gira

First hike carried out as part of the association of municipalities of the Belgian-Luxembourg Valley of the Attert in 1996.

To see:

Border posts: it was in 1843 that the demarcation of Belgian and Luxembourg territory was carried out, 287 markings of 367 kg marked the border! It follows the London Conference which separated the current province of Luxembourg to annex it to the new Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg which became a sovereign state.

Tontelange: the village was gradually built around a few large farms without a real continuous road, and it is this spirit that has tried to preserve the renovation as best as possible by arranging the street spaces by identifying the spaces by changing the surface. The church is not in the middle of the village but built on the edge at the highest point. The spiritual dominated and the bell tower had to be seen from afar and serve as a landmark.

Heidknapp: Once entirely occupied by heather, the site is now covered with coniferous plantations for production. It is on the summits that there are still some open rooms through which you can still admire the moor with species such as the false heather callune, the blueberry ...

Grübermühle: this former state mill is already mentioned in the 14th century. The users of the mill had to provide certain services in exchange for its services: water purification, bank cleaning, dam repair, etc. Currently, the mill is occupied by a water extraction station that supplies the city of Arlon.

Guirsch: The castle of Guirsch is classified and dates from 1748.
