Club ride: Opening ride - April 1, 2024 - departure 1 p.m.

April 1, the first planned ride in the new Vespa season of 2024 is a fact. No, this was not a joke, this was clear to see from the high turnout.

After a short count before departure, we found that there were 57 Vespas ready to start.

The chairman took the floor briefly to go over all the rules and describe the route so that everyone knew what to expect.

Off we go for a trip of 60km !!

Halfway there was a stop to quench the thirst at Café de Schuur. The owners of the business receive our gang with great pleasure and the chairs were placed where necessary on the terrace, as the sun let its first rays of sunshine shine over us. Enjoy to the fullest.

After the break and our departure, bad luck disappointed us during the ride. Tim had pulled his throttle cable from his old Vespa PK125 and Marleen had the misfortune that a nail had perforated her rear tire. Lucky in an accident, we were all able to put ourselves aside on the eel of the station. The problems were solved and we were able to continue our journey towards the final destination.

Of course we were able to enjoy this very nice start, the weather and the rural roads that our ride master let us maneuver through.

Nobody expected it, but the end was there sooner than we expected. Last stop before the ride was at the Peerden Postrij, small cool place where we could chat about the ride and the beautiful day.

The taste is back and we are already looking forward to our next adventure!
