On a bright blue sky or in a threatening, gray atmosphere; hardly anywhere seems the difference during the same cycling tour to be greater. In the first case, it feels like cycling through an evergreen and peaceful landscape on a carefree day, while the wind gently blows through your hair. But when the sky is gray and overcast during your bike tour, the war history of the region as well as the melancholy of Jacques Brel feels much closer. The sky seems to herald disaster: Will there be war or is a storm approaching?

NATURE OF THE ROAD
The surface consists of asphalt or concrete, apart from some small dirt paths. 40% car-free.
