Dear walkers, we proudly present you the Polle Pap Walking Path!
The Polle Pap Walking Path is a joint initiative of the local government and the IVAS Itegem walking club.
It was created in collaboration with the owners of the Bergbos, Sportoase De Lo, Café ’t Pleintje, Wine bar Calle Gato, and Paul Michiels.
The path will be accessible from September 7, 2024.

Polle Pap Path

Some members of the IVAS walking club (with the approval of the board) are working with Team Sport and Youth Heist-op-den-Berg on a fixed walking route. The route will be named “Polle Pap Walking Path”. The origin of the name “Polle Pap”: the route is named after a colorful character named Paul Michiels, known from the music group ‘Soulsister’. The walking path is not just a journey through nature, but also a meeting place for kindred spirits. You might discover more than just the beauty of the landscape. The Polle Pap Walking Route, as well as a route for everything on wheels, will be signposted and is expected to be accessible in the summer of 2024.
