To Statieplein, 3200 Aarschot, Belgium

Starting from Wezemaal station (work until mid-2025!), you first walk through a residential area before picking up the local GR trail on Wijgaardberg after about a good kilometer. Then we walk along beautiful field paths in the middle section, to the Church of Gelrode, where from km 8.5 we connect back to the GR until Aarschot station. Be careful at the end here as the steps down from Kouterberg can be very slippery. The middle section of the route is located close to the highway in the south and may have a poor silence score (depending on the wind direction)
