Resterheide - blue - 5.5 km

The Reigerpad (the blue route) offers an adventurous and educational walk. Along the way, you will encounter 14 playful and educational elements and can overcome fun obstacles on the Eekhoorntjeskronkel.
Resterheide, located on the border of Hechtel-Eksel and Peer, is a versatile area where you can explore the source area of the Zwarte Beek and the Bollissenbeek. Although the name suggests otherwise, Resterheide mainly consists of agricultural lands and coniferous forests.
The walking paths lead you past serene ponds, coniferous and deciduous forests, nature fields, and typical agricultural landscapes.
The Lieveheersbeestjespad has been specially designed for strollers and wheelchair users and is adapted for the blind and visually impaired.
Don't forget to bring your binoculars to spot waterfowl from the observation tower by the ponds.
