The rock that rises like a backbone above a meander of the Ourthe offers one of the most beautiful landscapes in Belgium. The river can usually carve its way through the Ardennes massif, but sometimes it encounters Schistose quartz rocks like the Hérou and then the river simply flows around them. In this way, it creates beautiful arabesques in the landscape. This entire landscape has been included in the list of Exceptional Heritage of Wallonia.
Discover this beautiful walk to the rock of Hérou. You will see the row of rocks that plunge into the river and let yourself be guided by the sound of the Ourthe. Quite a difficult walk - At the cliff, you go right down towards the Ourthe - Return n°2.
