The Everbeekpad

Walking here, in the fields on the border with Hainaut, is an experience of silence and tranquility. Every hiker is struck by this rural silence, broken only by the natural sounds of the environment; Everbeek is located in one of the few quiet areas of East Flanders. It will therefore be clear to the hiker that this Everbeek trail, apart from the many expressions of piety - which have recently been very beautifully restored - can only make few or no important cultural sites. As far as possible, the trail crosses "meadow and field" and contact with nature, with the hilly landscape is the main objective. Rest points can be the riding school "De Paardebloem" (after 1 hour and a half walking) and the hostels of Everbeek-Boven after finishing 2/3 of the trail. The trail crosses the Walloon Flobecq a little. You can start at the church of Everbeek-Beneden as well as at the church of Everbeek-Boven (parking is available in both squares of the village). It is a quick landscape walk for which 4 hours can be allocated. In bad weather, sturdy shoes are highly recommended.
