Day of the Slow Road 2015 in Kampenhout (Berg)

Kampenhout has been focusing on upgrading the slow roads within the municipality for some time.

For this purpose, the municipality was divided into seven areas within which the slow roads were systematically opened and improved. It is currently the turn of the last sub-area in Berg.

To put these slow roads in the spotlight, the municipality participated in the Day of the Slow Road on Saturday, October 17, 2015.

A fascinating walk with a passage through the Torfbroek nature reserve where we were informed about the big plans to start a nature development project in the Torfbroek. It is a collaboration between the Agency for Nature and Forest, the Flemish Land Company, Natuurpunt, the municipality and private individuals. This nature conservation project will give the various rare plants, of which about twenty are on the Red List of threatened species, more chances of survival.
