Mechelen - Canal Leuven-Dijle - Leuven and back

Departing from Mechelen train station, we first choose the cycle path along the Dijle, which quickly transitions into the path of the Leuven-Dijle Canal. This bike tour is an excellent route to keep your legs warm along the way. Clear your mind, the water will show you the way. In Kampenhout, if you're lucky, you might see some boats entering the lock. Once we leave Wilsele behind, our taste buds are awakened, because my home is where... Enjoy this delicious barley beer on the terrace of the Public Entrepot. Not too much, because the challenge of the day follows: a short ascent towards Wilsele, after which we immediately turn our noses back to the northwest. A bit of puffing until the top, over about 500 meters, and then descend again towards the canal. If you occasionally cross the water, you will break the "boredom." Follow the water and soon Mechelen will be waiting for a safe return! Have fun.
