This day trip allows you to get to know the GR 130.
This hike begins in Lo, the second smallest town in Belgium. Water is the red – or rather blue – thread of this day trip. You will hike along or near the IJzer, the Grote Beverdijkbeek, and the Poperingse Vaart. Along the way, you will cross certain waterways several times. At first, you might try to keep track of the number of bridges you cross, but soon you will lose count… And then there are the series of villages and hamlets that you visit: all equally charming and authentic. You will move from the medieval Lo to the hamlet of Fintele and then towards Westvleteren and the lesser-known Stavele. The rich history of the region spices it all up.
