Herkenrode Abbey Site: Hiking trail - 9.4 km

There is plenty to do at the Herkenrode Abbey site in Hasselt. In a beautiful environment you can look for the past by visiting the numerous beautiful buildings. In the surrounding 100 hectares of nature reserve you can enjoy a relaxing walk. The site is still under construction, so you will discover something new with every visit. At the start of the walking route, works are currently underway, making the first part of the route difficult to access. This is a temporary problem that can be solved by starting at the location of the poi 'De Abdijsite Herkenrode'. The part along the Albertkanaalstraat consists of a busy, narrow road. This is where you need to be forgivable. In the future, this will be remedied by the construction of a bridge over the Demer. The walking routes are then guided over the bridge.
