The 'Silence Path' can really be taken literally, quiet and we have only seen 1 jogger on 10 km of unpaved paths and roads (on Thursday)
Heuvelland guarantees hollow roads, forests, marshy spring forests and adventurous forest paths. This time of year (January) is very muddy but no less fun.

Here and there Natuurpunt has built bat paths, there are quite a lot of them.

Beautiful walk with beautiful views of the region from the ridges.
Parking and starting at the 'Neerplaats' in Westouter, Heuvelland, for campers best park along the church. Junction 2 is located on the corner of Meersstraat and Poperingestraat (N315), junction 1 at the corner of the cemetery.
For a weekend there is camping Douve located on the route in the Bellestraat, there are other accommodation options.

Heuvelland can be compared to the Flemish Ardennes, here and there a descent and climb.

This makes the distance of 13 km sufficient for the average hiker.

A ride on the Cordoba cable car is a very nice bonus, opening hours can be seen on their website www.kabelbaancordoba.be. The cable car is located at the parking lot in Loker.
After the parking you cross the road over the forest and after 200 meters the GPS route is not so correct but you will follow a descent on the left side.

The route can also be walked via walking nodes. Start at 2-59-3-4-5-9-8-14-13-62-61-60-exit left on walking direction 62-43-37-36-35-exit left on walking direction 33-32-31-27-29-28-13-12-18-17-19-1
