The Hertog Limburg trail is a long-distance walk through the former Duchy of Limburg. The route takes you from Rode-le-Duc, Rolduc near Kerkrade in the Netherlands, via 's-Hertogen-rode/Herzogenrath in Germany to the town of residence of Limburg-sur-Vesdre in Belgium and back of course.

The Dukes of Limburg ruled this former monastic abbey in the 12th and 13th centuries. The church of Rolduc, then called Kloosterrade, was their funerary church. The itinerary is a journey of discovery in the trilingual "Land without borders", which around Limburg and around Eurode (Kerkrade / Herzogenrath) in the current Euregio Meuse-Rhine can be a historical model for European unity and cooperation. Please note that this route is not signposted. You start at Rolduc in Kerkrade.
