A walk of almost 14 km through the landscapes and floodplains between the river Maas and the canal Zuid-Willemsvaart, as well as the Maas villages Oud-Rekem, Uikhoven, Kotem and Boorsem.

Located between Maasmechelen and Lanaken. The walking map 'Oud-Rekem' of the Regional Landscape Kempen & Maasland (http://www.rlkm.be/) was used as a basis

Starting place : Parking 18, Kanaalzone z/n at 3620 Oud-Rekem (Lanaken). On 29 May 2008, Oud-Rekem was voted "the most beautiful village in Flanders" by Tourism Flanders.
