Barony Route

Quiet, car-free cycle route along Sint-Amands-Bornem-Puurs with start and finish in Oppuurs. Baronieroute called because historically Oppuurs used to be a barony. Beautiful route along the most beautiful Scheldt borders of Sint-Amands-Mariekerke-Weert (Stille waters) to reach Oppuurs again via Bornem and Puurs along unique landscapes, valuable nature reserves (including Tekbroek in Puurs) and various sights. Also child-friendly because of the immediate proximity of the petting zoo in Bornem (Barelstraat) as well as the playground Sint-Pietersburcht in Puurs that is located on the route. Culinary not to be missed because of the cozy restaurants in Sint-Amands and Weert.
An alternative Baronieroute, called the baronieroute 2, almost parallel to the original route, can be followed via the bicycle junction via the points 12-11-10-67-76-08-06-05-03-04-07-89-13-80-81-12.
