TRAIN WALKING ROUTE GREEN HEART OF LIMBURG: 2. FROM BOKRIJK THROUGH KIEWIT AND THE WIJERS TO ZONHOVEN
Limburg is a chain of expansive natural areas. We make a walking trip from station to station through the most beautiful Limburg nature.
This second stage departs from Bokrijk station, goes around the Provincial Domain (you can enter if you pay the entrance fee) and through the Arboretum, then leads you for the first time through an idyllic pond area. We walk "through the water," among other things. Through the nature domain Kiewit with its petting zoo, we then reach the Wijers. This beautiful connected area has 1200 ponds, together accounting for more than 700 ha of water and reeds. We cross through it and finally reach the station of Zonhoven.

1. From Genk through De Maten to Bokrijk
2. From Bokrijk through Kiewit and De Wijers to Zonhoven
3. From Zonhoven through De Wijers and Herkenrode to Hasselt
