From church to church by the water, Ninove

You start the day with a brisk walk along the Dender to the west towards Pollare where you exit the valley towards the south. Between arable land, through meadows and along a forest of springs, you reach Nieuwenhove after which you look for the old windmill 'Molen ter Zeven Wegen'. You put it on the road along an ancient pilgrimage route that ends at the church of Denderwindeke.

After the afternoon stop in Denderwindeke, you will drive through a beautiful "quiet district" to the small Lieferinge located along the Molenbeek. Here no asphalt but old cobblestones in the protected village. You leave the village towards Neigem where we bare our heads in the large chapel "Notre-Dame des Tremorments". You can also enjoy interacting in the shade of the Neigembos. You climb through this small but beautiful ridge forest and then descend to Meerbeke.

Outside the village and the city bowls, you usually walk on rural roads with quiet traffic that alternate with gravel and grass paths. The walking area is sometimes slightly sloping.

In the vicinity of Lieferinge and Neigem, the Pajottenland of Flemish Brabant is very close, but you continue walking in the province of East Flanders.
