Tiegem

The hill range between Leie and Schelde is the precursor to the Flemish Ardennes. Although less known than its taller neighbor, the region has a lot of beauty to offer. The Flemish Ardennes may have many forests, but here the absence of them provides many sublime views. You explore the southern side of the ridge between Leie and Schelde. Along church paths and quiet rural roads, you explore the area of the Anzegem municipalities Tiegem, Kaster, and Grijsloke. For those who wish, there is a nice approach or extension route via the Tiegem church paths. This hike is a real recommendation for lovers of hilly trails and wide vistas.
DEPARTURE POINT
You can reach the church of Tiegem by exiting the E17 at exit 5-Waregem and driving via the N382 to Anzegem. At the church, turn right onto the N494 to Tiegem.

TYPE OF ROAD
Low-traffic asphalt roads and narrow cobblestone paths, although you must cross some busier roads.
ACCESSIBILITY
Impossible for buggies and wheelchairs.
