Discover all benefitsThe High Fens in the East Cantons are like a sponge that pushes a mass of water into the surrounding valleys and reservoirs. The Bayehon is such a creek. It springs near the Signal de Botrange, the highest point in Belgium, and flows into the Warche.
On this popular walk, we gently climb along this wild watercourse, which has a striking reddish color. As we near the highest point, we see one of the highest natural waterfalls in the country. Further on, we leave the forest and walk along the Fagne Tirifaye, an open peat bog area.
To return to the watermill at the Bayehon, we go along the Pouhon, a stream that has steeply carved its way between the rocks. That's why there are four small bridges to take us from one bank to the other. A piece of mountain landscape in Belgium.
