The Wijers is a floating fairy tale for cyclists, birdwatchers, and hikers. A beautiful introduction to the 2,000 ha large pond landscape park on the border between Haspengouw and Kempen is offered by the 5.2 km long orange-marked walk in Wijvenheide. Parking is available at camping Heidestrand or just near the observation tower. It overlooks the rather large Kleine Vijver.
