Leie region Deinze: Sint-Martens-Leerne - 03

The Leie region is a surprising tourist area, with the 'Golden River' winding its way through a varied landscape, past charming villages, nature areas, and the old meanders of the Leie.
This is a loop cycling tour that starts and ends at the church of Sint-Martens-Leerne (ample parking spaces).

It is a varied route through the following Leie region: Sint-Martens-Leerne - Sint-Martens-Latem - Sint-Denijs-Westrem - De Pinte - Afsnee - Ghent - Drongen - Baarle
All along a low-traffic route along the Leie, with nice little restaurants, a cycling highway, several parks, a recreational harbor, a round trip in Blaarmeersen, ...
Furthermore, there are also some cycling junctions included in this route.

One note, however: between 4.85km and 6.26km (= length of 1.4km) cycling is actually prohibited.
However, this is a very beautiful stretch along the Leie.
