The Union Bank Building is the oldest skyscraper in Canada and is located in the Exchange District of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Construction began in 1903 and it opened in November 1904. The 10-storey building was Winnipeg's first skyscraper south of City Hall, and was the tallest building in Winnipeg at the time of its construction. Initially built for Union Bank, now houses the Hospitality programs of Red River College. It was designated as a National Historic Site of Canada in 1996.
