Schwarzenburg is a municipality in the district of Bern-Mittelland in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. It was created on 1 January 2011 through the merger of the municipalities of Wahlern and Albligen.
Schwarzenburg has a population of 6,831. As of 2011, 4.7% of the population are resident foreign nationals. Over the last year the population has changed at a rate of 0.7%. Migration accounted for 0.8%, while births and deaths accounted for -0.2%. Most of the population speaks German as their first language, French is the second most common and Italian is the third .
