Notenstein Privatbank AG is a Swiss bank, active in the private banking and asset management segments, with ca. 700 employees. The bank was formed in 1968 as a subsidiary company of Wegelin & Co. named Notenstein AG. It was renamed Nettobank AG in 2010, then into Notenstein Privatbank AG in early 2012. At the same time, Wegelin & Co. transferred all its non-US clients and assets and most of its employees to Notenstein Privatbank. Notenstein Privatbank was then sold on January 27 to the Raiffeisen banking group. In 2013 Wegelin & Co. announced its closure after facing legal troubles in the United States. Notenstein Privatbank continues to use the Nothveststein building as its corporate headquarters; the building was the headquarters of Wegelin & Co. from 1798 to 2013.
