The Church of Meikirch is the Reformed village church of Meikirch, Wahlendorf, and Ortschwaben in Switzerland. Along with the parsonage from 1605 and the Müngerhaus from 1836, a former farmhouse that has served as a community center since 2001, and the former oven house with the parish room and office, the building group constitutes a cultural asset of national significance. The church and its surroundings are noteworthy due to their long history dating back to the 7th and 8th centuries.
During excavations in 1978/1979, extensive wall remains of a Roman estate from the 1st and 2nd centuries with wall paintings in an underground corridor were discovered. The findings suggest that a villa romana with wings stood at the site of the later church. The course of the walls is marked in the pavement of the church square, and the recovered wall paintings are kept in the church community house. The villa was abandoned in the second half of the 3rd century.
